Ok, so I think we have tentatively decided on a color palette for the wedding. I wanted to get this done so I could begin searching for the perfect bridesmaid dresses and start making my DIY creations.
This inspiration board is from theperfectpalette.blogspot.com and the colors are coral, light yellow, champagne, and kraft paper brown. I love it! I have started to find that there are so many flower options that are budget friendly that also go along with this color scheme. Before, with yellow and green I was struggling to find flowers that didn't look like overbearing poms of lemony-yellow circa 1975.
I did however run into a problem at Michael's. I am planning to make my own invitations and other paper goods with fun patterned paper but found nothing, I mean nothing, in the coral family at Michael's. I couldn't believe it! There is a scrapbooking store near me called Archives I have been meaning to check out; maybe I will have better luck there :)

ReplyDeleteI just went in there for the first time today and fell in love! They have this free class for making wedding stuff. I will look into it-I know it happens once a month. Maybe we could go!
ReplyDeleteI like this color palette! Once I get back, I can help you with any DIY stuff you need help with. And I'm down for going to the class too!
ReplyDeleteOoooo this volunteering is awesome. I spend a lot of time reading stories of other people's weddings and how their bridemaids were mean about helping with stuff. I can see that won't be a problem here! (Not that I suspected it would be.) I will look into the class-Archiver's is craft heaven so I am sure it will be really fun!
