For the last several weeks I have been sticking to a wedding timline I found in KC Weddings religiously. If it says do it now, I'm doing it now because, frankly, I don't know what I am doing. The one exception (and yes, I am sure many exceptions to this timeline will be made, but as of now I plan on sticking to it) is engagement photos. It says to take them 9-12 months before the wedding and we have already scheduled the photographer for October. The trees will be so pretty then. So engagement photos are a little delayed but no big deal. --Back to the point. This timeline tells me that 9-12 months before the wedding select attendants' attire. Hallelujah! I have been waiting for what seems like forever for permission to do this :) And now I shall share with you some of the contenders.
This dress is from Landa and I think it is absolutely adorable. I love the lemon color, however, with my dress being ivory and the men (hopefully) wearing taupe suits, yellow might make everything seem monochromatic and boring. Should I decide on this dress I think we would order it in a peachy-coraly color.
Now for Bari Jay. First of all, I love Bari Jay. I like about 80% of the bridesmaid dresses they have on their site but I will show you 2 for now, seeing as how they are my very favorites!
Man, I love the one above! It seems like it would be flattering to just about all body types with the loose fitting, a-line skirt and I love the chiffon fabric it is made out of. It also comes in yellow and sage that I love as well.
Okay, so I know the dress above will not be the cup of tea for all of my bridesmaids. I just really love it. I love rosettes. I walked into J Crew yesterday to find it was spewing rosette everything. I was in love, my wallet was not. This is probably a distant choice for a dress for my maids. It just isn't everyone's style and the last thing I was to do it stick them in something they will be uncomfortable wearing and hide in the back of their closet once the day is over. I just seriously love rosettes; maybe I can convince them to wear a rosette pin in their hair to quell my rosette obsession. Or, maybe by the time the wedding arrives I will be over it. Who knows!
oh i like the last one the coral one!!! i like it very much so!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know what, I actually don't mind that last one at all. I like the off the shoulder style and the rosettes aren't a deal breaker for me...but I'll be happy with what ever the dresses look like as long as you're happy. :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't there another over the shoulder style that you showed me? Also, am curious as to which one of these styles seems more vintage to you?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the last one. LOVE IT. but i love most things you choose
